Our History
The school was established by Mrs Sukla Bose in the year 1978 in the present establishment. The house was originally built by Santosh Bose ,the first municipal chairperson of burdwan municipality.
Here are some words written by Mrs Bose :
The school was established by me in 1978 with only one child. Gradually, the number of children increased and I had to recruit more teachers to support me. Being the kindergarten teacher at St. Xavier’s School, I understood the difficulty in managing them very well as they came straight from their mother’s lap.
There were very few nursery schools then and the timing of my school used to be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. after my return from St. Xavier’s School. The students used to come after lunch and they were allowed to take rest if they wanted
I learned many important lessons while managing the children which allowed me to use a different perspective to guide the students, that is, students can even learn lessons while doing their normal daily activities, like having food, playing, sleeping, and so on.

Our Achivements
SMSRC Foundation
Our school is associated with the SMSRC Foundation, which sponsors the education of many underprivileged children in our school, allowing them to study in the same way as our students do. The SMSRC-sponsored students in our school have groomed up exceptionally well and their level of self-confidence now is much better than what they started with.
St. Xavier’s School
Our school has an extraordinarily strong alumni base at the St. Xavier’s School, Burdwan and the legacy has been continuing. Here’s a glimpse of our achievements in recent years. 30 students got admission out of 37 who appeared in 2023.
